It never fails to amaze me how many excuses men come up with to explain why they aren't successful at life, especially their dating life. This will be the first in a series of posts discussing all the various and bullshit excuses lonely, bitter men conjure up in their mind.
The Age Excuse
The 49 year old man says he can't meet beautiful women because he's too old and younger women only want young, vibrant men. He wishes he was younger.
The 39 year man says he can't meet beautiful women because all the women he wants are married or has a boyfriend. He wishes he didn't have to work all the time in an office.
The 29 year old man says he can't meet beautiful women because women around his age want an older, more financially establish man. He wishes he was in college again so he could do it differently.
The 19 year old man says he can't meet beautiful women because all women in college are immature and only wants to party. He wishes he was older, working and making money so he can meet more mature women.
Meanwhile other men who are between the ages of 15-75 are meeting, dating, and having sex with women. But of course, THOSE men must just be "lucky".

ReplyDeleteIs actually age an excuse? How EASY is for a man in his 40s to date a girl in her 20s? Does a girl in her 20s would LIKE to date a guy in his 40s?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. All day every day. The only reason why you can't is for the same reasons why you couldn't date them when YOU were 20. It's for the same reasons why you can't date women in their 30's. Your fears continue to rule you.

Yeah, I'm afraid of being seen as a pervert because I like young girls even though I'm a 40 years old guy, I'm afraid that she's gonna see me as a pervert if I hit on her, I'm afraid the special people in my life could see me as a pervert 'cause I'm not doing the "right thing". I'm not living my life 'cause I care more about what people can think about me instead of what I think about myself if I do what I want to do.

ReplyDeleteI am a survivor of 15 years of father rape. I am 42 and I went with the older man. I have a husband of my own age now of 17 years and am struggling. The memories of the rape taint me. It is still in my life no matter what therapy I do. Do not discount those who cannot speak.

DeleteI'm truly sorry to hear of the crimes committed against you, especially (I'm assuming) at a young age.
However, I'm not sure what your struggles have to do with this post. The men that make these excuses come from a much different place than where you came from and they're simply just excuses so they don't have to change.
